We exist to REACH men & women in prostitution, SUPPORT them physically, emotionally and spiritually and to RESTORE them to lives of fullness.
Introducing...
Motivated by Christ’s love, we weekly visit the red light districts of Athens, offering friendship, advice, and opportunities for change, believing that a relationship with a loving God is the foundation for lasting transformation. During the week, we welcome women and men at our drop-in center for conversation, counseling, and prayer. Here they can access information and referrals to other ministries and social services in the city. The team consists of 9 staff members with over 20 local volunteers, varying in occupations and specialties, from theology, psychology, and social work.
Nea Zoi is a Greek non-profit corporation with a local 4-member board (three primaries and one substitute) and over 20 members. We are affiliated with One Collective, European Freedom Network, the Greek Evangelical Alliance, and receive funding from individuals, institutional donors, foundations, as well as local and international church communities.
Nea Zoi is a seed-planting ministry. We do not rely on numbers or statistics to prove success. Instead, we are a social service ministry that seeks to reach, support, and restore women and men in prostitution. Over the years, we have come to know that for an individual to open up; it is a process of learning to trust that may take several years, during which we are always by their side, offering them support and advice.
